Title: red wire????
Post by: Dinoziv on October 14, 2013, 09:50:26 PM
Hello to all,

I need help. Could some one tell me where is that red wire supposed to be connected?
After today's ride I have put my battery on charger but no reaction. When I opened the battery that wire was disconnected but I am not shore from where. Is that a problem that it is not charged?

Thanks for help

Hi Dinoziv,

I have no knowledge to help you, but perhaps if you identified exactly what  the object in your photo might be, someone  else may be able to help.  Is it a GM product? What model, etc?

TTFN,
Dennis

If it is the wire from the charge plug you can connect it to the thick red wire on the keyswitch that is coming from the battery.

The one that is coming from the bottom of battery. You can see it in the middle of the picture!

The green wire from the charge plug is going to the bms ch- (charge -) that is the switched wire.
The red wire from the charge plug going direct to the + of the battery.
The + of the battery is the thick red wire from the battery to the keyswitch.
Don't  connect it to the thick red wire from the keyswitch to the main power plug. If you do that you can only charge when the keyswitch is on.
