I have a 36v MPIII with a bottle battery. After riding it yesterday for about 3km at about 8km/hr I accelerated and the battery just went deat after about 100m. It remais dead, woith 0V across the battery terminals. When the charger is plugged in the charge light immediatley goes green. When the charger is disconnected the battery is still dead. The fuse is OK. The battery is about 8 months old. Any ideas?

Let me put it to you this way..
My car...
I was driving along for about 2 miles and the car went dead...
The fuel gauge says 1/4 tank and I added another 5 gal to the tank.
Anyone have an idea why the car still won't work?
(Rhetorical question to point out, that we need a bit more information as to what else is going on, to be able to help out with the question at hand)

Hi Chris,
I agree there isn't a lot of info, but may I ask what voltage you measure across the charging port before you connect the charger? Did you cycle any battery power switch off and then on?
TTFN,
Dennis

Limited information for sure. But my experience is if the battery will not charge its most likely the BMS has failed.
