Hi all,
Has some one tried to replace sensors in the Thumb Throttle? What sensors are used there?
My throttles fail very often, so instead of buying a new one each time, I'd like to replace just the sensors (the part which fails).
Thank you

Look for Hall element 49E OH49E SS49E linear Sensor

Do you know where to buy?

Thanks! Have you already tried to repair your throttles? Mine fail very ofter, so I wanna try to repair them instead of buying the new ones...
-
Yup I have replaced them with those Ebay sensors.
But I have removed the the Chinese sensors and installed a Honeywell quality sensor.
Because I like the idea to have quality components hahaha :)
-
Hm... The link, which you provided, are not for Honeywell sensors... I'm missing something?
-
Sorry my mistake!
Post wrong links those for the Chines ones.
Please wait.....I have too look for the Honeywell one that I have bought.
My mind left me....I can't remember the partnumber.

Take your time, I look forward to the new correct link from you ...

Found it ;D
Look for Honeywell S495A 8)

Do you remember where you bought them? Nobody sells them on the eBay...
-
I have bought from my country ( The Netherlands).
I don't know where you live?
Maybe can try search in your country webshops?

Do you know how to test these testers - whether they are in a working or failure condition? Thank you
-
You mean testing the sensors?
It's simple I just hook them up to 5V power.
Took a magnet and hold it nearby the sensor and the output should change :)
-
Thanks! So, what's difference between the motor and throttle sensors? Is the first one latch and the second one is linear?
-
Motor sensor is just 5V or 0V.
While throttle sensor is from 0V to 5V (linear) depends how much the throttle is being activated.
For best results for testing just your throttle magnet and you will see the voltage changes from min. to max.

I see,thank you!
