Title: MP3 nuts?
Post by: MAGICPIE3FOCUSPOWER on January 10, 2013, 09:52:33 AM
Hello all,

I would like to replace the M14 nuts.
But what size are those?
I mean normal M14 thread or small thread.......?

Thanks in advance.

It's M14x1.5 so yes it's a ISO fine thread.
Acording to my book it says M14 should be avoided if possible and only use fine threads if there is a big advantage. Good going GM.
Good luck on finding a suitable nut.

GM axles are supposed to be M14 x 1.5, but M14 nuts are available with several different pitches including 1.0, 1.25, 1.5 and 2.0.
I suggest you check out this post (http://goldenmotor.com/SMF/index.php?topic=3266.msg19822#msg19822) and then measure the exact pitch of your axle's thread to ensure you purchase the correct nuts.

Thanks all, you are right people.

I have found the thread measuring tool.
Yes it's 1,5 metric.

Thanks!
