Title: Connection of New GM Cells
Post by: Just on September 25, 2012, 09:12:56 PM
Hi All,

Could anybody please publish a picture shown the new GM LiFePo4 cells connected one to another? Should any special connecters be involved? Is any soldering required?

Thank you!

Hi Dmitryl,

The 10Ah cells shown here have threaded studs and use spring washers and nuts to secure the copper links:

But the 12Ah cells do not appear to have the threaded studs:

Perhaps they use spot-welded steel connecting links instead? ???

Thank you Alan for your post and pictures!

Are the cells supplied with the connection copper plates (links)? If there are not, might them be ordered/purchased from anywhere (ebay, etc)?

As for the Isolation Glue, which one might be used? Could you recommend one? Available on eBay?

Thank you!
