Title: Fixing Kty84/130 Motor sensor ??- help pls
Post by: Praveen on September 05, 2012, 11:48:43 AM
Hi
i have 72V 10kW BLDC motor HPM10KA model with HPC500 series controller.I found there is No temperature monitoring for "motor" from the shipped product of GM. However I bought KTY84/130 Temperature sensor in my locality and I need suggestions for mounting and connecting it.

i got the sensor specifications from the user guide of HPC motor controller . The sensor seems so small about the size of dia & length both 1mm each. can I connect this sensor directly to motor pin 22 & 23  as per user guide or should I need any  additional circuits ? - Help me pls.

Regards
Praveen

As looking at the manual you don't need anything else.

For testing the sensor you can use heatgun or something similar.

Yes did you have a look in the manual?

Well iwth heatgun or something similar you can simulate the motor heat.
So when doing this the controller should shuttoff or in safemode (depend what the features are of the controller).
