Hello all,

First of all, very nice forum with great information and helpful members.

I am totally new to electrical bike.
I am riding a Yamaha BWS scooter for going to work.
The total distance is about 70km.

I really love cycling, but is kinda far going to work.
So I am thinking about buy a Magic Pie III motor.
But what kind of battery do I need for this distance (70km)?
I am preffering the lowest amp/h battery, because of the weight.

All stuff will mounted on mine bike: freeride bike Focus 26 inch.

You need a 48V10AH LiFePO4 battery pack which can drive about 50km. So you need to pedal a bit to complete your 70km journey, or charge the battery in office during work hour.

I got the same battery annd mp3 with external controller(after 2 internal controllers broke down in warranty period), and it will not get you 50 km on only throttle.
maybe when you use the PAS system an lower the amps to max 12, it wil get you there.
You will not go full speed but maybe round 30-32 km/h.
i got the same config, and drive each day about 35 km.
i must recharge at work, otherwise I cant get home.
if I use full throttle I can only get about 27km distance, but at a speed of 43 km/h so kinda fast.

Magic Pie III is 1500W right?

Also what about 15AH Lifepo4 battery?.....too bad Goldenmotor don't sell them.

Also the dumb throttle is right or left hand mounting?

The Magic Pie 3 kit contains:

Thumb throttle?
Twist throttle?
