Title: stupid question?

hi everyone,

i'm new here, and bought me a magicpie 3 with internal controller.
I also bought a 48v 10A batterypack from GM.
To make my bike legal for the streets, i've mounted a pedelec system, but I just cant get it adjust it the right way.
it seems that no mather what I adjust, if I pedle the bike always go's up to 35km/h
and it's only legal to support to 25 km/h.
theres a picture of the controller software how I made all changes.
now I am  wondering if I can put the motor voltage to 24v and still use my battery witch is 48v without braking the controller, motor or battery.
and most important, would it make a difference and slow the bike down?
If not, does anybody know a simple solution to make it work?

You may have a problem with your program interface as it does not appear to be connecting with your controller.

This is what works for me:

• Make sure the battery is disconnected before inserting the USB cable, and remains so until the programming is complete, and the lead has been removed.
• Plug the cable into your USB port and then plug the other end of the cable into the motor harness.
• Launch the "Personalized Settings Uint" software.
• Click the "Connect" button (PC beeps, and "Connect Success" appears in the bottom left corner of the program window.
• Click the "GetConfig" button. I get an error message "Errorcode=[0]" and then click "OK".
• The window should now be updated with the settings from the controller, and "GetConfig Success" appears in the bottom left corner of the program window.
• Adjust the required parameters (ie. Scale speed 50% etc.) and then click the "Store/Save" button followed by the "OK" button
• I then click the "Disconnect" button and "Disconnect Success" appears in the bottom left corner of the program window.
• Exit the program and disconnect the USB lead from the motor harness and then the PC.

I have not yet tried the Pedelec function of the MPIII, but the Forward  "Speed Scale" definitely works with the throttle.

I also noticed that the "Speed Scale" for reverse seems to have no effect whatsoever on the reverse speed.

Setting the voltage to 24V will not break the controller, or slow the bike down. It should only effect the Low Voltage Cutoff (LVC).
I have my controller set to 24V so that I can use either a 24V or 48V pack without having to reprogram the controller.

first of all, thanks for your answer.
maybe I should have posted the screenshot when the controller was connected (my bad)
there's no problem at all with the controller, it works fine.
And I do know that speed scale etc. works for the throttle.
that's why I set it all to 0, so only the pedelec would support the motor when needed.
what I find strange is that the speed level for the PAS system does not seem to work.
Like I said before, the pedelec keeps delivering power to the motor. (witch of course is nice :-) ) but it's not legal to ride my bike at35 KM/h supported.
so I realy like to find out what I can do to make my bike legal.
is there a way to measure that it don't delivers more than 300 w to the motor?
is there a optional external controller unit so I can shut it of or something?
I just don't want to get in trouble when I get inspected by police.
also, I get paid by my employer for riding a bike to work, but only if its a legal bike...

PS: any idea how much km I should be able to ride with a 48v 10A battery with pedelec support?
 I seem to get no further than about 40 km with I thought is not enough.
