Why not put two 20ah in parrallel? like gary has been doing on his bike. Very easy to wire.
-
Thats what Im going to do, 40ah don't seem to be that easy to find, theres some crap on ebay but the price reflects that I think. Theres LifePO4 but a good one of those is as big and heavy as a car battery. I had a 36v 20ah on a bike and it kept breaking the spokes.

Ok, where on the site do I find a 20Ah cell?
(I only see 12Ah)

The 48v20ah lifePO4 come in a plastic hardshell case or in Stainless steel.

Ok, let me try this again...
Does GM make a 20ah or 40ah CELL?!?

Hi sangesf
Sorry, I assumed you meant cell in the first place and since I had never heard of anything like that I left it to those that may know better. Believe me there are many of those :)
When Andrew suggested you do as I do and you responded, I then thought you must have meant batteries so I tossed in what it thought would help.
Foiled again! Once again I go back to my original answer of "I don't know". Since an answer like that is hardly a contribution pretend I never said anything at all.
Imagine if I said I don't know if I have no answer to someones post. I would have 10,000 posts by now for sure ::)
Btw the way hows the weather down there? I was whining about the weather here yesterday and then I watched John's video of A nice winter day for a ride in alaska! It does look pleasent but all that snow must means somethings going on he is not telling us about ;D

Hi Gary, sorry for delayed reply, i've got limitied i-net at present. Speaking of the Weather(as we love to here in Blighty) we seem to be getting our first proper first hard frost Zero degrees weather. It been mild until now. I was on my 'Allotment plot' (veg patch) with my father yesterday and we were assessing what to put where this year as you have to rotate crops to keep down pests, diseases. The ground is very heavy due heavy rain, so another six weeks or so until I start the digging, hopefully when ther's less water in the soil to save my back!. Potatoes usually go in the ground first late March early April.
