Hi,
I just joined the forum because I have many questions to ask!
I'm currently working on building a battery pack from Li-ion cells coming from electrical tools (drills...). My plan is to build an 26" ebike than can easily cruise at 30mph (50km/h), don't worry the battery pack will be designed consequently. My questions are as follow:
-Is the Magic Pie II with external controller the best choice ?
-Which controller should I go with ? (something not limited too much in current I guess...)
-Is Cycle analyst the best choice for monitoring?
Setup will be mounted on a light mountain bike.
Thanks for your advice.

the Magic Pie motor will make 30mph but not with the GM controller which generally restrict current to about 750w, you'll get about 22-24 mph on a 26"
cycle analyst not necessary
Check that your mountain bike drop outs(rear) are deep to hold onto the torque of a pie. My specialized Stump jumper frame has caused me many problems in this respect as it is designed for quick release spindles which don't require much depth.

so which controller would you suggest?
