Title: My charger is not working anymore?
Post by: Serg1337 on September 24, 2011, 08:49:41 PM
Hello people of the electrical motorbike world.

Yesterday iv discovered that the charger that came with my battery is not functioning properly. I plugged it into the wall last night (not yet to the battery), and the charging light was green, when usually red. Could someone help me out with this issue?

Just checking, is this the charger that says something like do not connect to power without first connecting battery on the case?

The Charger will be green until the battery is connected (or already connected) then it should change to Red once a charge load occurs.

When the battery reaches the charger output voltage (eg. 54.6v) for 48v GM battery, then the light will change from red to green indicating full charge.

The charger connector inside battery could be loose. Check that first.

Is it a 48V charger? If so is the red voltage switch set to 115 or 230 volts. It has to be correct to work properly.

it is a 36V charger. I will take it apart, and take some pictures. It would be nice if I could talk to someone as I do that. If not, I will take it apart and take some pictures and see what you all have to say!
