Title: speed with a 20 inch wheel (1.50m) 36V minimotor
Post by: Velonaut on June 30, 2011, 07:09:07 PM
Can somebody tell me the speed with a 20 inch wheel 36V minimotor. The wheel has a circumference of 1.50 meter, times 200 r/min (from motor diagram) makes 300 meters a minute. 300 times 60 minutes = 18km/hour. Is this correct ? Or is the speed higher?

That's pretty close.

20" diameter = 508mm, giving a circumference of 1596mm.

The wheel has a circumference of 1.596 meter, times 200 r/min makes 319.2 meters a minute. 319.2 times 60 minutes = 19.15km/hour (11.9mph).
