Title: Magic Pie Wiring Problems - Throttle vsv Cruise Control
Post by: Wolga on May 12, 2011, 04:52:08 PM
I have cut all my wires between the pie and the external devices (because of shorten the wires, very foolish).

I have soldered the wires without using the connectorsanymore, now I have following situation (problem):

The throttle doesnt work  :'(,  but if I push the button for cruise control the pie will speeded up.

Whats going wrong - please help me

Wolfgang

Does anybody know how are the wires coloured from the devices TO the connectors ?
I have only a picture from the 8-pins of the pie connector (installation manual).

The controller not get throttle signal at all, most likely either red or white wire cut......

Search forums for manual, there is section here with all colours that you need

Yes you were right, the red-wire (+5V) for the throttle was cut and I had a bad connection.

I found a very good picture, for Pie Wiring (old version pie with 7-used-wires and a grey wire which I didnt found in the new version)

Here's the original larger size drawing of the MK I magic Pie Wiring connections:

Gary seems to have shrunk it slightly on his site.
