Title: My Pie's Axle/spindle is way off center - anyone experienced this
Post by: Webby on March 31, 2011, 08:16:34 PM
sorry for the new post is covered before but anyone experienced a pie axle / spindle way off center (0.5 inches / 1 cm)?

I've posted some images below to help but until I fix this my pie is going nowwhere. I feel like I want to give it a gentle tap not scared to damage anything.

image 1 = lots of room
image 2 = no room and pie rubbing on forks

If anyone has any thoughts it would be appreciated.

cheers

Thanks to Andrew - this is sorted ... padded out with extra washers on the tight side (bit of force needed) but I think this puppy is good to go, brakes work good etc . Need to wait until Saturday for test spin on (off) road  ;D

cheers all

As I said earlier buddy, I see that your forks tend to go from drop outs, then inwards in the legs.....must compare with my suntour XCT's tomorrow...

the forks do look narrow, as said in the other thread -  you'll need about 85mm diameter space between fork arms. the motor width/plates diameter being 60mm.  it's easily sorted ;)  I'm sure a visit to 'Doc Ginge' will get things rectified
