Title: GM Frog Battery 36v10Ah doesn't fit on the seatpost - What to do?

Hi guys,

I'm a newcomer here. I've building an e-Bike but since I finished the gross part I have had to stop at this.

Simply, the Golden Motor Frog Battery won't fit on my saddle tube. My tube is 26,9mm width. The battery needs something like 34,8 ~ 35,2mm to fit.

What makes me sad and angry is that the GM Website has never said the width of the saddle tube needs to fit it correctly. They don't show any size of the batteries of the hole inside the holder.

Anyone can see any solution for me in this issue?

I'm just wondering whether there is a smaller clamp hidden inside the housing. If you look at the attached picture, you can see there is definitely a difference between the hole in the pack casing and the seat stem.

Let us know if there is an internal clamp assembly, as it might help others in the same position as you.

If there isn't an adjustable clamp, the only thing I can think of at the moment is to use a piece of tubing with a slot cut in it as a clampable sleeve to increase the diameter of your seat post, or possibly binding the seat stem with some aluminium tape until it is the required diameter.

I hope you find a quick and easy solution to this problem.

Wow, Thats a big hole! It seems like your missing a peice or something. I have yet to see a frog battery in person so I am not sure what to expect. I have in the past used a tire tube wrapped around the seatpost to attach a rack. It doesnt really even appear to have a clamping method unless it is inside as Alan sugested.

You can buy PVC reductions in order to make them match, you can find them almost any hardwareshop for a cost of 1$ or so...

Hello, I was looking to reference the photo in this thread and noticed resolve was never written. I think the person that started this thread posted to the forum before realizing there is a clamp inside that hole that adjusts from the size of that hold down to a size much smaller then any normal seat post. I never posted this information as I had never had one in my hands yet at that time. But now that I have seen many I know the clamp is there. Or at least meant to be.
