Hi
I ve change my old regenerative controler by a cruise controller but since the regen breaking doesn't work (the motor don't stop).
So I ve buy the PI200 usb to plug to my computer (received without notice from a french reseller) and put regen brake on 100% but it doesnt work. (i've decrease the reverse speed and it's ok but no regenerative braking)
A Window Dialog box written in "symbols" font open before the software lauch, I don't know what is speak about.
What can I Do ?

Hi Alan, I trust on you for answer :) 8) You're not very interrested by my topic that last springfield time :c
I have found this forum speaking about ping battery (my battery is a ping battery)

It means I must plug the charger wires and add a diode to the controller ? But I think it will make a loop into the bms between the dischargng current and the charging current ? :-\ ? How I plug all this buziness so ? °0 ::) :o
/
Could I have more information ? value of diode, plugins, etc... ???
So Why my old controller doen't need this wiring and the bart cruise controller need it ? :-\
It's difficult to me to understand english perfectly and I don't would like to mister burns my controller, so I you could confirm that will resolve my problem and explain more it's could be nice homer . :'(
Good Bye every BODY Marge ;)

Doesn't work too :-[ :-\ :'( >:( ???
An idea ?
Something to do to turn on regen function ?

Hi Greg,
If regen worked with the Ping battery using your old regen controller, I don't see why it shouldn't should work with the cruise controller.
The diode that Ping have suggested was only fitted to prevent the regen from overcharging a fully charged battery, which should not really be a problem for your trike.
On the cruise controller, the regen is not operated by the throttle (like it was on your old controller), it is automatically activated by the brake switch when the brakes are applied instead. Do you have the brake lever switch connected to the controller, and does the throttle stop working when the brake is applied?
My regen has about a second delay before it starts to work, but there is no way to control the amount of regen, it's either on or off.
Alan
P.S. What's with all the Simpsons stuff anyway?

OK, thank you for enlightement.

Yes brake lever operate correctely

It maybe for this reason I ve thinked regen doesn't work ;D, I will test tomorow and increase the % regen braking with the USB PI-200E.
You have launch me on a new clue. I'm stayed in the sitting room since I've plug the trike :-\, thinking it was same function of the old regenerative breaking controler. I will see tomorow. 1s delay, I think it's a long time !! My girlfriend will make an unhappy face tomorow when I will tell about it :-X lol Finally I prefer my old regenerative for this sort of application (trike), but it burn :'(
Alan
P.S. What's with all the Simpsons stuff anyway? Delirium
Thank you Alan ! Keep you informed :D

It's ok the regen work "correctely" but I found it not enough strong :-\
I ve put the regen brake value in software to 100% but this controller is not adapted for this use.
Thanks Alan

waooo
a great idea to put put the regen brake value in software
its really worth

Yes for a bike you (size's wheel) but not for my trike, I prefer make variable braking with throttle for my trike.
Thats all.
I don't think it's difficult to do that and switch on variable breaking with he throttle with a button.
