Title: Internal - external controller - whats the general lowdown
Post by: DirtyGinge on March 04, 2011, 08:08:04 PM
Hi All

I have 2 x pie on internals, and purchased 1 x external for spare...

If I was to change for instance the rear pie to external, what is the average amp increase that you guys see from internal to external change ?

And in this instance, how much real world power does that translate into the pie...i.e. barely noticable torque or grab the handlebars torque.....

I have tried searching but the answers seem a little diverse

Scorpion, how much increase do you think the 40 amp controller gives you ...1.2 x .....2 x. .....

Thanks for all your help guys/....

Hey Ginge

Honestly I don't think there is any difference in the max amps between the internal and external controllers. In my opinion they are the same. I did do some testing and creted a video of my results in the dual pie thread.
