HELLO
I had some trouble with my only 5 months old controller
I asked GM : what about the warranty ?
and no answer
I had no time to wait for a ONE month late answer so I decided to order a new controller cos needed one ( costs 90 dollars including shipping to france )
and only 6 days after I received my new controller !!!!!
that means that GM LISTEN TO YOU when you order something to them
and they do NOT LISTEN TO YOU when you ask the replacement an under warranty broken thing
something I do not understand
may be I should learn how to talk chinese !!!!
can you explain to me

Who did you write to and who did you buy the second controller from? Both GM China? or Dealer?

Try another email, if no response try calling them. There number is on the site at Goldenmotor.com somewhere.

no just ordered a new controller : 60 euros shipping included
fed up with fighting against people that don't want to listen to what you say cos' they don't like it

First off, I can't defend China's lack of response to fred's situation. As a GM dealer this bothers me alot.
But I would like to state that calling GM China is not as much as you would think. I have used calling cards bought at the corner store and paid 1.1 cents a minute. According to the link I pasted in below, this Calling Card company (which is the first one I found in a google search) . Calling from france to China is 2.9 cents a minute or 688 minutes for 20 dollars. So a 65 dollar controller would be just over a 40 hour phone call. I cant imagine talking on the phone for 40 hours but I guess its possible. Also since they are only open 9 to 5 (China local time) I guess you could be on the phone 8 hours a day for 5 days. Personally if it was my money, I would make the call.
Follow the link, I'm not recomending these people, this is just an example. I'm sure you can buy calling cards over the counter quite easily in France just like most other countries in the world.

Yes Gary i'm sorry, it was just a image...It is the principle which disturbs me, no answer by e-mail then we phone..
In France and in Canada to I think, we have a other Smell of the honor...!
Making money is good but it's not the only way of life...!!

I understand your frustration and feel for you. I do not try to hide from the facts but eggagerations don't help either. Actually if you did call china you would be surprized at how poor the phone connections can be. It almost like those first missions into space and the way the communications sounded then..

i'm ok Gary but a other reason for complicate the phone commuincation for me is if Tom speak a good english it's not the same for me....! :'(
when i'm write if I don't find a word I go in traductor and it's ok....
but i'm gone better.... ;)

I am in the same boat but I refuse to send more money to the black hole of China.
Its $90 for a GM controller delivered and $130 for custom Infineon from San Francisco.
I am going with San Francisco.
If we all rebel maybe GM will learn what the word "Customer" means.

finally I needed another MP so I ordered it
I also explained what happened with my controller and what a surprise !!!!!! :
I just received my MP with : 2 controllers ;D

Hi,
I agree with you Fred, a big effort of communication was made at Golden motor, I bought two front light and one did not work: an e-mail with a photo, and one week later I receive another front light by chronopost.

they aren't that bad at communications.
people mostly post here if there's a problem of such kinds,
this why it looks like they don't communicate.
If everything is fine, why would you visit a forum etc...
But there's always room for improvement :)
