Title: airline safe batteries

Ignorant question but I am handicapped and want to buy a folding e-bike...to carry on commercial planes.
what type do I buy? are ev rated sla batteries airline safe? I've been told lithium ion batteries prohibited. Any tips? appreciate it.

there are some rules about taking lithium on a plane, can't google find your answer.
