Title: What to get in a kit
Post by: feltzbar on August 14, 2010, 01:43:41 PM
I am looking to get a front wheel 500W 36V, kit with the 36v12Ah battery.  I want to keep the kit pretty simple, but I am not sure what all parts I need. can anyone give me some advice?

Hi there, ill keep it simple for you:

36v500w motorized wheel
2 button control switch - horn and cruise
thumb or twist throttle - power to go
power brake levers - cut motor when braking and enable regen

also recomend a torque arm for front wheel installation

is there a simple kit with just that stuff in it or would I have to go through the build your own kit thing.  I was looking at the build your own kit page and I didn't know what some of the options were or if they were important.

I used the goldenmotor.ca site to check, liked that it looked easier to find what I needed.

I also recommend better brakes than I had, depending on what your bike has. So diskbrakes and diskbrake activator.

Since I had some trouble with looking for some wireing issues I also recommend an extra Wiring harness and Connectors(Item Code: ACC-011) since I think it might have been easier to change the whole harness then fixing it. Then I also have to say that Im not good at fixing these electrical thing. And its a long wait to get it later

The wire for connecting to the controller iff you like to tamper with it.

I’ll suggest that you order from goldenmotor.ca. If you have any questions Gary is present here at the forum and he seems to be very customer friendly.

Hi Karen, feltzbar

I don't normally like to solicit sales in the forum, I like to come here and read, learn and help out if possible. But it seems sometimes everyone knows more then I do!

Anyway, I have them on my site at

Torque Arm

These are not GM products, but I do sell them as they are the best I can find.

Custom Kit I put together for another customer that seems to have had the same needs as you.

Again my apoligies for putting these links in the forum.

Thanks, Gary:) Have to wait for the twelft next month since I used my paycheck to order kits from China, but I put them in my favorites. Couldnt find it in Europe, but Ill check it out:)

I had a horn on the JoyEbike I have and when I asked Tom he could send them also, even they arent on the website.

Then again I stick my nose in everything:)
