First thing is test your battery output.

If you have battery output then you know your battery is OK.

Next send the MP with cut wires back and request a replacement.  Not good enough IMO.

You can fix if you want.  That is up to you.

Looks like two levels of shield has been done through.  Hard to tell.  But it may have been either used before or pulled
at when worked on.  Spun out axle out of dropout type of thing right there.

Even ridding with the cord dangling or pushed around until the cord wrapped around the wheel causing this failure..

You seem pretty competent, no chance you could of done this when you were working the ride?

Who sold you the kit?  My GM dealer checked and tested everything before I got it.

Geee digital technology can pick out stuff.

You can see all along the cable where its been wrapped around a wheel.  You sure you wouldn't pick that sort of damage up earlier?  Its very noticeable.

This wheel looks like it was already installed before.

See all it takes is to install the wheel and roll over the cable.

A very easy mistake to make.

A simple invert colours shows some interesting stuff.

You can see the arc point where the motor was switched on while the cord was being wrapped around the axle.

Damn someone even tried to switch it on with the cord like this?.

Yes the cables looks like it is finished.

This axle has been either spun out of the dropouts while running or tested with cord danging near the wheel and they got caught up.  The lack of damage done to the axle points out that it wasnt done by a drop out failure.  And no axel drop out failure has occurred to your bike either.

Either DOA or a little mouse has been playing with your build when you were not looking.  Maybe 8 yo child.  Maybe not.

Use your best judgment and the rest is up to you.  Only you and your GM dealer will know.

Sincerely.

Hello and thank you for your  advice.
This is an 24 inch wheel it  just came from Golden motor china, now 2 days ago.
and the damage on the cable was there when I opened the box..

[the other 18 inch wheel from my picture (from may) have some damage on the  cable in the  same place, but it is working perfect  and I'm happy with that wheel. I didn't expect the wheel to come without any kind of damage but I never expected this kind of problem.

I don't have trust in  GM' s way of packing and handling, because the first wheel came with a lot of scratches on both the wheel and the cable.

My problem  is ,this wheel it is not moving.
The throttle leds light it's not working. I have checked the cables after the pictures you all show in the forum and they are ok, but with different colours.
The battery  is new ,full charge, I have 27-26v full charged ( it is a 24 lifepo4 batt to be legal in sweden :( :'()
About other people damagen my wire is impossible.
I don't have any friends in Sweden, and my family they have not access   to my work room. Like I said, I saw the damage when I put the disk brake to se haw look after I took the wheel from the box. I' m very careful with my stuff. I buy from GM china because they are the only ones who have wheel  with built in control.

Hello again !
After your pictures I checked the cables again took some more pictures .
It's defenitely not my falt or any other person here. 100% sure
It was from the packet.
I'm really sad because its not easy to send it back to GM in China from Sweden and only god knows how long time it will take to sort this problem. And as eveybody knows we don't have a long summer in Sweden.Maybe it's better to put it on a sledge ;D .
has anyone else had this trouble please let me know how to solv this problem the easiest way.
I don't want to lose alot of money I already had to pay extra for toll here in Sweden .And I don't want to do that again :'(

ok guys, I conected the 24 inch motor to my sons bike cables [battery and throttle]
when I swiched the contact key , the leds in throttle is not on
.and  if I spin the wheel with my hand it is hard to do it. I fellt motor , like a generator
when I take away +-cable for the motor I can spin the wheel easily with my hand
I conected the cables to my sons bike motor and its working  throttle ,leds and cruiser.
then the conclusion is that the cable are okay.
 the problem is maybe coming  from the controler ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? :'  or the cables .
if I spin the wheel with my hand without electric on
it genereits current on the +-cable  faster spin -more voltage. my conclusion is motor stator posibil to be ok
I m very sorry for my english.
 :'(now Im verry sad ??? :'( ??? :'( ??? :'( ??? :'( ??? :'(

Either way you look at it the motor has been damaged by someone, not an accident in shipping IMO.   It is a common problem done to wheels when installing as this is not normal for a Magic Pie to look like this with a cut cord. The cord wraps around the wheel when running fast and the cord goes tight and the axle cuts the cord leaving the mark you see on the axl. When the cord pulls tight it breaks small wire inside, the evidence is obvious.

But to say this has caused all your failures may be a little presumptuous.  Was there a long delay to the delivery?

All GM stators are good.  In my 2+ years here we have only seen a single motor with bad windings and yes it was replace by the good will of GM.

The packing looks very good IMO.  Very good.

The symptoms you explain sounds like fet failure and wire failure all in one.  There are small wires that go to the controller for throttle, brakes and much more.  These could be broken inside the plastic sheild because of the cord damage..

Do no more test with the other wheel.  Keep the working wheel isolated from the broken wheel unless you want both bikes that wont work.

I am helpless to help you until you contact GM first.  Forum help from the tech officer like me is usually for gm products out of warranty or user errors void warranty.

My advice is not official but can be helpful.

Contact TOM zhourenli@goldenmotor.com for official warranty inquiries, make email easy to read and short to the point. Be patient for reply and wait.

If you want to fix yourself you may void warranty.  We can help you with that :D  Sometimes this is better if you know how to fix or are good with these things, and other times this is worse because you can make problems bigger.

Your decision.

Sincerely

LeZ

PS.

Who sold you the wheel and how long did it take to deliver.

Sorry to say but Tom don't answere my  mails.
My self I repaired  my 24 inch wheel and it   is working  ok. No more  problems .
Now I'm sure that there is no garanty what  you buy from golden motor come with warranty.
If they don't like what you write to them ,they don't give a sh!t about you.
I  send a mail to Tom about the throttle sensor and  now even after 1 month still no answer .
I m very disapointed again and I will think twice before I order from them again.
This is the second wheel that comes with a destroyed cable.
Any Ideas what to do now??????

HI Valy, I have an external controller that is mounted with the Heat Sink outside the box but with the wires and the rest inside the box if you want it?

It is not limited to 15amps like the normal MP controller, although it is an external controller so if you do not get a refund or replacement from magi pie then you could open up the MP wheel and take out/destroy the internal controller and extend the wires ready for the external controller to get you going.

I would happily swap it for one of your Torque Arms, if not how much would you sell me 2 for?

All the best

Spacey (Uk)
