Title: Can't get USB controller to connect

I got the cable and software on my laptop but I can't get it to talk to my controller. I just get a USB device not recognized problem. Anyone know what might be wrong?

Hi,

do you have silver or gold magic controller? I´m able to connect only the gold one.... The silver controller seems to be some older version.....

I have the silver colored cruise type that says version two, apparently on this version two, the alarm is not working? Is the alarm turned off by default? Do I have to get the USB and software to get it "turned on"?
