I hooked up a new magic contoller and has Been working fine...
Today I was riding stopped at a store for a minute when I turned it back on. It beeped once immediate and now the motor won't run. If I turn it off, wait 5 sec and turn it back on, it beeps once immediately again and still won't run... I can't set the alarm, and there's no other beeps..
The MOMENT power is applied... BEEP! and then nothing.
Any idea?
It's not low battery, and if it was the throttle or hall sensors it would beep twice or three times..
What else could be wrong?

From the magic controller manual:
5. How to work with unknown malfunctions or low voltage battery:
If the ebike does not move and you don’t know what is the cause, or low battery situation in the middle of
your way, you can try to force the ebike work, by
- Grip and hold the power brake lever
- Press cruise control button 5 times
- Hear a beep sound from horn
Then, you can drive your ebike at half speed by depress the cruise control button. You need to turn off the battery power to reset the controller back to normal mode after the problem is resolved.
And on other part it mentions "one beep", but when the controller activate the anti theft system:
6. Anti-theft alarm setting:
Logically switch off power to motor (called soft-switch, controller is still on) and take out the battery key,
within 10 seconds depress the cruise control button till one beep sound, then release the cruise control
button, the vehicle is now protected from theft and motor is electrically locked. Any small movement of
vehicle will trigger the siren for 30 seconds, and wheel will make resistance from pedaling.
But I still do not know what could be the origin of the problem.... Some not well connect wire, like false contact?

The only thing I can think of is it's gotta be a short somewhere and that's the short circuit protection going off.

Well after removing everything but power and the horn, it still beeps once the second power is supplied... Possible problem with the controller? Please help!!!!

still doing the same thing. I hooked up the wires to my other controller and they work fine.
I need to get it replaced. Do I try to return it to the USA distrubtor (who still hasn't gotten back to me) or can I return it to goldenmotor directly and get it replaced that way?
