Title: battery box
Post by: jarocue1 on August 28, 2009, 10:41:50 AM
Hi,

First of all say that I'm an amateur at the topic of electric bikes, but every time I investigated more and more passionate on the subject, I have an electric bike with a battery 48v 12 AH-mounted luggage rack but I want to integrate it into The table on the slide drums and want to know where I can find boxes, casings or fittings to install my battery integrated with the controller in the table, someone has done this, please help me.

Thanks for your time. A greeting

Hi  jarocue1,

Some of you question has been lost in translation, but I think you mean something like this:

In the picture that battery certainly seems to be mounted higher up and further back than it would need to be. Doesn't that make handling rather squirrelly?

I have mounted the speed controller in the triangle
of the frame, but even with that thickness I brush
my legs against the wires.  I think that mounting
the battery there would just be too thick.

Just my opinion, tho.

Something like this perhaps?

I quite like the idea of having the motor in the rear hub and the batteries in the front hub,
giving a lower Centre of Gravity and better weight distribution.
But $3,495 for a bike is just a little outside my price range!

                    36V, 10Ah, Nickel-Metal Hydride (NiMH)

I wonder if GM are planning to develop one of these?

thanks for your picture, I think the space is limited, between your legs and your triangle, I think good idea incoporate the battery in the triangle because the Centre of Gravity is lower, I like a nice battery box beautifull, in concordance with my triangle and I did not interference when pedaling... Some comes up with an idea?.. thanks

Check out the bikes on this website: http://www.stealthelectricbikes.com.au/ (http://www.stealthelectricbikes.com.au/)

I actually plan to do something similar, put my battery in the bike frame triangle and make a frame on which to put a covering of sheet metal similar to the bikes in the pictures. Of course the bike I'm building up is a bit different so it wont look exactly the same.

Muzza.

Look at GM slide on battery. (http://goldenmotor.com/batterypack.htm) also E-BikeKit.com (http://www.e-bikekit.com/e-bike-batteries.html) has something.
