today I connected the watt's up meter and it read a peak of 27Amps while riding and 29Amps when stalled. the battery pack was fully charged and showed a voltage of 38V dropping to 34 when loaded. the peak power was 980W is that normal or is the meter showing the wrong values? the motor is rated at 730W peak, how come its going up to 980W?

if the watt's up meter is giving the correct reading, poor 12Ah slas!

This is a head scratcher...

My Watts-up meter doesn't agree with my DMM (which I've trusted for years).  It reads almost a volt and half higher than the DMM.

Glad I'm not the only one.  I've been considering building my own PIC based unit - something I can calibrate to a trusted source - and which I can attach to the handlebars while the heavy components and wiring stay at the back of the bike with the batteries (much like the "Brain Drain", or whatever it is they're peddling for about $150).  Now I'm feeling more like that's something I want to do.

my watt's up meter seems to read almost a volt higher then my DMM. but I never trusted my DMM either. don't know what to trust!
