36 volt, 600 watt Hub Motor change for 48V/50A controller

I have Wilderness Energy Brushless 36 volt, 600 watt Hub Motor I want to know if I can change for the new
  48V/50A Cruise Speed Controller  thank you.

You would have to contact Wilderness Energy to get the
actual max wattage for that motor.

I suspect that you risk burning out the motor by putting the
higher voltage controller on it.

Wattage is (basically) voltage times Amperage.
600W/36V is just under 17Amps continuous.

The 48V controller is 1000W, (About 20Amps continuous)
