24 volt battery wanted for fishing boat test
« on: August 21, 2018, 04:20:28 PM »
--Is anyone using a 24 volt system to power their electric fishing boat motor.  I would like to try it but a lot of money to put out for an experiment. Maybe someone in the Okanagan area of BC has a 24 volt battery that they would be willing to come out and try on my fishing motor to see how it works. willing to take you fishing for the day as payment and have a gas motor if the electric doesn't work.
--thanks

--the benefit would be weight and space. I use two 12 v conventional batteries which take up a lot of room and add weight as I have 4 batteries on board. Two set up as 12v for starting engines and running electronics and two are setup as 24 v system for my electric fishing motor.

--I recharge the 12v from my gas engine and also with solar.  I don't have a way to directly recharge the 24v system on board so have to disconnect the batteries and charge them separately as 12v.
--Any help from fishing people would be appretiated...
