USB cable connection does not mount device

hi, I am here as a whole human being, free fear and ready to share knowledge on the Magic Pie5 just acquired. The usb set up is not right. Upon launching the program it says: "please connect device". But the usb cable is already connected to the 5pin cable leading to the motor. Any help?
I have tried all to no avail. Thanks. vic.

Hi Vic andto the forum.

Check out this video and this thread explaining how to connect to the controller for programming.
