Mobility scooter and battery safety question

Hello everyone.
New here so please be kind, thanks :)

I am wondering how tough the LiFePo4 batteries are. By this I mean I know they are being used for vehicles.  However what I do not know is if anything special is being done to keep them  safe from  all of the bouncing around etc.
I notice that my lead acid batteries are just locked down real tight to the frame with no padding etc.

Is this what one should do to keep the Li fePo4 batteries safe as well?
They just look more fragile is all. Maybe it is just the way they look probably.

Hi Sherylin andto the forum.

The individual GM LiFePO4 cells are encased within an aluminium casing and seem to be very robust:



They do not seem to suffer from the various vibrations typically encountered on bikes etc.
Check out this post to see what's inside a typical GM LiFePO4 battery pack.

As long as the battery pack and cabling is securely attached so it cannot move about, you should not experience any vibration related issues with the battery.  ;)

So no "vibrations" beyond that of which the whole scooter itself goes through.     Got it.
Just make sure it is secured to the scooter and it should be fine.     Got it :)
