Magic Pie (internal controller)
« on: April 22, 2011, 09:20:52 AM »
When I order a Magic Pie DIY kit from europe, do I get a limited type of motor/controller? Or are there no special types of motors/controllers limited for the european market? I'd prefer an unlimited (open) type.

i live in europe and I don't think you'll get the limited version but to be sure check with the dealer you're going to buy from.

I think the internal controllers are limited to 15 amps and the external to 20 amps, though I wouldn't call the external controller limited as such, I think it is designed for no more than 20 amps, certainly the tiny dimensions and heatsink would not allow for much more power!

I think the deal is that in europe they require a pedelec
so you have to pedal, you can't just ride.

If you have a particular power limit it will be in watts.
