I have a rear wheel pie with the old spoke pattern. I had quite a problem with broken spokes until I changed to a larger tyre a more balloon type. I was just wondering if I bought a front wheel pie with the new spoke pattern would it be possible to swap parts over?
Then the stronger new pattern would be on the back and the old pattern would be on the front. With less weight on the font wheel I think the spokes wouldn't brake.
