hey mate

I bought an anti-glare screen protector for mine it works excellent, and I'm running it from a seperate 12v power supply so yes you might need to fit a stepdown in somewhere

I just had too many 12v accessories to use converters everywhere, it was better for me to use a seperate power supply and worry about charging it with the bike. Lol I even built a cigarette lighter into the old GM battery case where the keyswitch was, they fit in there perfect!

No as lazy as I am, I have still been working my ass off on this bike on a near daily basis! :S

Won't bore anyone with the 'deets' but I'm getting closer to my goal.... Completion !! LOL

Here are some sneaky sneak pics of what's happening, I'll take some new pics of the completed sound system, and custom side fenders

Realised a week or so ago, that I think only 1 bolt remains original on my bike and near everything was required to be changed/modified/painted to some degree in order to fit in with the bike....

Happy so say that I have all the parts to finalise, just really not looking forward to the massive soldering and wiring job ahead.... Considering employing a casual staff member to finish the job !!!

I'm disappointed Monkey, I was expecting "musical" air horns.

Anyway, it would be interesting to know how many miles of cable you have used and how many tons the bike now weighs.
Have you managed to link the throttle to a sound generator which can produce realistic engine noises through your sound system?

I bet you've forgotten what all those buttons actually do without referring to you notes.

Keep up the good work and let's hope it's ready to hit the road soon.

LOL thats a classic, ok ok so I assumed I might cop a little bit of flack. I do have a pretty good selection of horns on the bike funnily enough

I laugh everytime I think "this all started when I looked for a headlight" and it snowballed from there!!!

I've modified the euro police siren and wired it inside one of the pit bike plastics I used on the side. Thats what that panel is with the buttons on there. Then there is a hidden stebel magnum horn underneath the bike lol

LOTS of work going on next couple of days, I'll get some pics happening. I'm really hoping I can finish it off this weekend!

I'm working on the mid console tonight and finishing my acrylic dash tomorrow, every piece on the bike is custom!!! Or 'bespoke' as Andrew would say I had to look that word up haha it must be an English thing??

I don't think it's good enough for any tours lol but it is a pretty different lookin bike! And remember its still just dual internal drive so it could still get some upgrades yet ;

I need to get it on the road soon I miss riding it heaps!!!!!!

There is a Logitech subwoofer built into the mid frame, the 4 speakers from the satellites built into a wooden box inside the headlight cowling. Then there is 2 x 2.5" in the acrylic console and 2 x 3" hidden full range inside the side fairings lol 8.1 stereo 55hz to 17K sound!!!

And I have been eying off a Garmin Edge 800.....

Haha Mark you made me consider what it would take to built a post mix dispenser - 2 solenoids, soda water on peltier cooler, bourbon mixed with cola syrup can dispense from inside the box under the seat!!!! nahhh thats a bit OTT

I've finished the console last night, and wiring the handlebar gear today.

I have 3 more sets of wiring to do then I'm cooking!!!!!!!!!!! wooooooooooo

I remember many years ago a friend of mine that liked whisky and coke put a little invention in his car. He added a second winshied washer tank and washer pump. From that he ran a tube from the washer pump to a convenient spot under the dash and added a button. Then he added wiskey into the new tank. After stopping at the local store and picking up a can of coke he could open it drink out a bit, then hold it under the dash push a button and voila a whisky and coke for the road.

Does this give you any ideas MM?
