Hello
I have 10kW bldc motor in a dirtbike.
When I attempt to program the controller (VEC500) it automatically reverts to previous settings when I upload.
I do a download first and only change one setting at a time.
I have two identical controllers and both do this.
Also tried different laptops with same result.
Has anyone had this problem.
Is it the programming cable as this is the only common part with above tests.

The problem you are experiencing is most likely due to the ambiguous icons and confusing tool tip text which only displays "Upload" and "Download" instead of "Read Parameters from controller" and "Save parameters to controller":

The "Upload " icon only reads the parameters from the controller and "Uploads" them to your Laptop.
To save any alterations you have made in the program, you need to "Download" them from your laptop to the controller.
You just need to see the icon as a controller (instead of a computer) for the arrows to make sense. ;)
The "Import" and "Export" icons also appear to be the exact opposite of what you would expect.
Hopefully this information will cure your problem.
