Title: About Magic Pie
Post by: Jibbe on October 22, 2009, 07:10:02 PM
Hello!

I have 3 questions:

1- Magic Pie's Motor is 1000w 48V?

2- Can I power the motor with a LiFePO4 LFP-4820 battery?

3- Is there a cruise speed controller with the Magic Pie?

Thanks

Hi and welcome Jibbe,

1- Magic Pie's Motor is 1000w 48V?
1000Watts @ 48Volt is probably about right.

2- Can I power the motor with a LiFePO4 LFP-4820 battery?
Yes, the LFP-4820 battery is suitable for the Magic Pie.

3- Is there a cruise speed controller with the Magic Pie?
The cruise control is a standard feature of the Magic Pie.

I found a "secret" Magic Pie video  :o

It is about the JoyEbike at the ebikes parts of the GM website: http://www.goldenmotor.com/teaser/magicpieperformance.avi

And this nice and fun teaser: http://www.goldenmotor.com/teaser/mpteaser.mp4

Nice trip, great scenery.

Did he say freaking or another F word.  LOL

Who was the magic rider?

Will we uncover another secret?

My only critique is you need a GM magic helmet too. :P

The second video is humorous where the well dressed male had to turn the key 2 times as the controller had been left on.  He almost lost it there with the wheelies.

The new promo is very good, Logo animation etc. Keep up the great work GM.

BTW cameramen pushed in wheel chairs while filming make very smooth walk through footage.

Interesting videos, the hill climb could use a bit of editing though. I have made a few videos myself to promote GM here is a link to my most recent video on you tube.

After viewing if you click "More from GoldenMotorCanada" you can see a few more there that I created. Let me know what you think.

I noticed something interesting:

Magic Pie has only 600W at 36V and 806W at 48V (not 750/1000W as claimed)

16"cast wheel Magic Pie has 750W at 36V

so I guess Casted Wheel Magic Pie is a true 1000W at 48V !

One question if enyone knows: can I runn Magic pie on 5 lead-acid in series ?
I know it is suppose to have safety switch at 60V but still, maybe it would work...

Nice videos Gary :)
