Title: Magic Pie Photo Discrepancy

Looking at the picture from http://goldenmotor.com/magicpie/magicpie.html
it appears that the 9 pin+shield connector is the only wiring that comes
out of the Magic Pie, and that a Y-harness plugs into that to split power
from other functions (throttle, regen, horn, etc...)

Does that mean that the 12 gauge wires from the battery are going into
the 18 or 20 gauge wires in the main motor connector?

I know on my 36V500W motor I changed the original 14 gauge wire from
the battery harness to 12 gauge wire because it heats up at 500W.

The harness splits before the 9 pin socket, not after it.
