Hello from Manitoba. I just purchased a Magic pie with external controller for my homebuilt trike. It has 26" wheels and is a delta style trike. It has 2wd, Pedal power is diverted to the left rear wheel via a jackshaft and the Magic Pie motor will be installed as the right rear wheel. At the moment the right rear wheel has a geared hub motor but it was not properly built at the factory and the spokes are all loose. So I have been using the trike to test out the 2wd concept and it works great. I've just been taking it easy to avoid breaking spokes. I've previously purchased a mid drive motor from Golden Motor and found the advice and the product to be very good. So I thought going through them again for a hub motor would be a good choice.
