Title: Higo connectors and Edge
Post by: Hastings on May 10, 2020, 08:28:48 AM
Hi

I am restarting a project where I as yet  only got the bicycle  (q 29 er with good front suspension and hardtail), Thun torque sensor and a Cycle analyst v3 .

I am looking to buy an Edge  and a a 10Ah lifepo battery that I will mount on the frame lika a shark battery but bigger.

It has hydraulic brakes (Shimano) and I constructed a Hallsensor/magnet assembly a year ago .

I have been looking at Higoconnectors  https://www.higoconnector.com/products/collection/motor/w999K
Are they compatible with the Edge´s harness or not?

They are on offer from this site https://www.e-bike-technologies.de/index.php/en/connectors/connectors-signal/connectors-higo-and-julet-z8-series/higo-z812-s-detail

I don't think the 10 pin Higo connectors will be compatible with the Edge main harness connector as the 10 pin connector used on the Edge has a different pin layout:

The 8 pin Higo connector appears to be the same pin layout as the original MPIII's before they were changed to the MP4/5 10 pin connector:

However, the Higo 3, 4, and 5 pin Mini B connectors do seem to be very similar to the smaller Edge connectors:  ;)
