Title: Upgrading battery pack

I have a 24V16Ah battery.
Is it possible to upgrade this to a 36V 16Ah battery by adding battery cells.
Can I do this myself, and if yes, where can I purchase the battery cells?

I don't know much about this subject but I think the BMS also needs to be replaced, please correct me if I am wrong.
