Extending Motor Wires for External Controller
« on: September 08, 2014, 12:20:35 PM »
Hi All

Can anyone tell me what type/gauge of wiring I need to extend the hall and motor wires from an MP3 to an external controller?

Also does anybody know if the GM BAC-028P controller comes with any connectors to join the wires to the controller and if not what types of connectors I will need?

Many thanks
Ben

The most popular choice for extending the phase wires on the MPII was 12g AlphaWire EcoWire, and a suitable length of standard network cable can be used for the hall sensor wires.

I can't advise on the connectors as I don't know what is supplied with the BAC-028P controller.

For anyone out there planning to buy the  GM BAC-028P external controller I can confirm that it comes with all the connectors required to connect it to your existing system
