Title: Murdock Mysteries 1910 Magic Pie velomobile
Post by: GM Canada on August 04, 2012, 03:29:32 AM
Hello all,

Last summer I was contacted by one of the local props companies. They had to build a electic car for a locally filmed TV series called "the Murdoch Mysteries". When we met to discuss the project they brought the car the MP would fit on. It was just a frame then. Here is a photo from the show. The rear pie is very obvious :)

This episode was "Who killed the electric Carraige"

Watch it Here

It looks like a 20" wheel would have been a better choice to reduce the excessive nose down appearance.

I also discovered that I can't access the video because I'm outside of Canada. :(

I'm obviously biased, but I also think a 20" wheel would have been better looking, but who knows what the director drives....

I do think it is cool that they picked a trike layout.....

I just came across the official "Murdock Mysteries" clip with the car on you tube. Now everyone can see it.

Also a longer clip with "Craig" who I met at the coffee shop that day along time ago to discuss if it would work.

I also suggested a 20 inch wheel at the time but he wanted 26 inch.
