Hi Alan,

The problem was indeed the brake switch. The brake handles are not original Golden Motor ones. A magnet had been glued to the brake handle, but it was broken. Repositioning it to the original spot cleared the error! Thanks for your help!

Hi Alan,

Thanks for your reply. Will check the brake handle sensors. It works properly before, but after an emergency stop it doesn’t work anymore, thus something with the brake switches sounds logic

Hi John,

I'm guessing that the SIF relates to the "All-in-one Connection/Speed Pulse signal output" which is shown as a Purple wire connected to Pin 16 of the CN2 connector and defined as "IF" on the Interface definition in the EZkontrol Users Manual.

Thanks Alan, I see it's on the first post now. GM sent me the wiring diagram for the controller, which is the same as every other diagram I've looked at. Unfortunately it's not quite right. They told me the throttle got its power from the red wire on the throttle plug, which goes to the white wire on the throttle loom (the one I got reattached) but it actually comes from the KSI plug on the controller and goes to the KSI plug on the throttle loom. They also told me every wire from the throttle had to be connected to the controller. Not sure why parking and brake need to be connected on a boat but they ho.
The electrician who connected it all up in the first place had the key switch connected to the KSI plug on the controller. Should have known it was wrong. He had one of the CN2 loom plugs connected to the CN1 loom. I can't remember which one but I knew that it wasn't right.

Any chance you know what SIF stands for ?

It seems to have worked just as I had hoped and is now easily accessible to anyone that wants it.

If the file is larger than the 2048kB file limit you should be able to send it to the email address shown below (as an attachment) using your normal email application.
I will hopefully be able to temporarily override the file limit and attach it for you.

Hi Soetie andto the forum.

I suspect the "Eb5" is just a visual notification that the EBS is engaged due to a brake lever being stuck partially open, which can easily occur if you have plugged in the brake lever switch connector before the brake Bowden cables are physically connected to the levers and one of the levers is not fully released because the cable attachment pivot is preventing the lever from returning fully:

If the brake levers are definitely fully returned to the released position and you are still seeing the EbS notification, it could be due to a faulty brake switch or the wiring going to it.
Unplug both brake switch connectors and see if the EbS notification disappears. If it does, plug in the brake connectors one at a time to determine which one is causing the problem.

Hi John and thanks for the update.
It's good to hear that you have been able to sort your throttle problem out.

I can forward the TRC012 manual to anyone who wants it.

If you attach the file to your original post it will be instantly available for anyone that wants it.
