Title: Changes on VEC200 and HPM3000
Post by: E-Chopper on November 20, 2016, 05:42:35 PM
hello

for my new project https://youtu.be/8fHEAnsG5ss (https://youtu.be/8fHEAnsG5ss) I order again a HPM3000 and a vec200 from GM.
First time I unbox the motor I check the parts .
The new Motor is different to my "old HPM3000".
They change some parts on the Motor the axel is now Blackmetallic and  I also belive the size of the front bearing is differend .

The other thing is that with the old vec200 if you turn the throttle without load you cannot controll the speed of the Motor .
Now with the new one it is possible to Controll the Motor without load .

Anyone know why this change happens "specially on the Motor"

Greetings Martin

Having a speed controlled throttle (instead of the earlier torque controlled throttle) should be much better for low torque applications, or if for those using a gearbox who may want to raise the motor speed slightly to match the input shaft speed when changing down to a lower gear.
