A123 batteries -> where to buy?
« on: January 27, 2015, 10:53:53 PM »
Hi All,

As far as I understand, the A123 cells are the best choice for the ebike batteries ... Besides the headway ones of course...

So, what's the best place to buy the A123 cells? Is eBay the reliable place? :-(

What are the A123 types the best? I'd like to build the 48V 15Ah battery.

Thank you!

yes you can build a battery  but  why not buy one as you need high discharge and a BMS that  can handle regen currents. I would suggest Ping Batteries . One of the few chinese builders with a very good  customer support.  Came out with one of the best cooled BMSes on the market

A123 filed for bankruptcy in 2012? 13?    I took a quick look at the net, and the assets were bought by a chinese company and renamed B456….. Google it for yourself

You are right, it changed the name to B456. But there are no B456 battery cells on the market, only A123...
