I once had the old GM design harness plugs get pulled, only the throttle wire ground became disconnected and the bike took off, I didnt install the brake switches.  It was scary but not near as scary as a carburetor jammed at WOT in a car.   

Those brake switches are essential for the mid sized motors up, I was first advised I wouldnt need them, wrong!

The brakes switch makes the Ebike safer than a motor car. 

These days, I hard wire everything, cut the plugs off and solder it up with a nice big, longer and stronger ground wire coming straight off the negative terminal off the battery.

I miss the ease of plugs, but prefer the reliability of a good dob of solder and to know my connection is 100%.
