Query for GM techs about wiring layout .jpg 2013.
« on: November 30, 2013, 01:03:00 AM »
G'Day all.

October / November 2013; manuals etc.

Have installed a SmartPie (26" rear using 48v LiFePo4).

I have one plug left over. The downloaded "MP3 SmartPie Wiring Layout.jpg" graphic (MP3 & SP) simply describes it as "for Meter Display".

What is the/a "Meter Display"?

Can somebod please explain just what this plug is for. Have I missed summink? Is there an accessory I'm not aware of.

Please if any GM tech would offer help /info re spare plug it will be appreciated.

Regards.

Hi
Meter Display= Information display = Speed, used capacity, driven km/miles ,....
like Watt's up or cyclometer,  ...
if you don't have one, leave it open/unused.
Cheers
Sam

Yes, thank you Sam for taking the time.

I appreciate what a meter is/should be for but if I have included an image successfully below one can see the plug is one of GoldenMotor's neat minimal plugs (in this case 5 pins). As mentioned it is also shown on the downloadable MP3 & SP wiring layout .jpg.

Therefore I expect there to be a device made specifically with a matching GM plug design (ie another connection made for other non-specific devices does not have such a plug).

So, just what "meter" is it made for and how do we obtain one?

Has anyone utilized this plug successfully.

Regards.
