Phase Current Max Setting
« on: March 28, 2011, 07:53:59 PM »
Working on setting up a Lyen controller (184110)
In the program of this controller, I have to to choose a setting for the phase current in Amps

Then my question is: What is the highest phase current value of a Magic Pie ?Maybe a dumb question, but it would be nice to know .
Setting range from 30 to 150 Amp

General rule of thimb seems to be 2.5 times the rated current.......but if too high, and you are travelling slow, ie under 15mph up a hill, you may burn the windings.....best info I got :)
