Impressive video!
« on: October 17, 2009, 08:57:58 PM »

For those of you who just ride bikes normally, this video may be a real eye opener:

This video is worth watching!

I wonder if the Magic Pie would handle those landings? ???

He's got awesome skills, although some how I don't think he could pull that off with all the extra weight of the motor and batteries!

I'd be happy if I could flick my bike like that up the occasional 6-8" high gutter!

How is he able to coast as well as pedal back?
Awesome does not come close. Ride the top of a picket fence!
True your wheel with a hunk of scrap wood.

When I see that guy I think "Geeze, the diff between the human and chimp genome is what?  Less than two percent?   If that's the case, what's the diff between a klutz like me and a neuromuscular genious like Danny MacAskill?"

Can't be more than a few dozen lines of code, right?

Yes some nice freestyling there.  It has evolved so much after I became out of my prime.

about 10% of that stuff is what we used to attempt doing when I was a kid, and all the imagination we had.  I had no idea you could actually do all that on a bike.  It was the stuff of our dreams.

Kids probably seen us trying and from there they succeed.

As age sets in your wrists start hurting, reaction to detail becomes less defined and you start not stop pulling it off.  One or two 'bad" accidents and you loose your mojo soon enough.

I used to do an early form of parkoring too, in the city streets of Sydney 25 years ago. A couple of beers and a near impaling of a garden star picket pretty soon slowed me down to an abrupt hault.

I am truly amazed as to what the body and wheels can do when they are as one.

Becareful kids the environment can deal you a bad hand when you push the border of the impossible to the max.
