Title: Intermitent throttle on my pie
Post by: Andrew on December 27, 2011, 04:47:19 PM
I pull the throttle and have power for 2 seconds. Then power cuts out and will only power again if I release throttle and re-apply and the same thing happens again.  I've resoldered throttle wires, all hall wires seem ok. Could it be a phase wire problem? :(

Sounds more like low Voltage cut out. Does it do it with no load?

i've only tried it without load. LVC is set to 42v on a 54v pack. My Cycle Analyst is showing the battey at over 53v at present.
It maybe that I have some how mixed up the phase wires I will have to try lots of combos

Any other suggestions would be much appreciated

Looks like you have to eliminate possibilities. Try a different battery, throttle, controller, etc. Maybe swapping one item out will reveal something. I know you have an assortment of stuff. Try replacing things if possible. Im really not sure what could be doing it but thats what I would try.

Thanks Gary. I will try some differing phase wire combos first, but I do have spare throttle and controller if necessary :)

tried all 36 wire combinations and could only get a two third rotation of the wheel under throttle until cutout.

Taken pie apart today checked all hall wires which are all good.  Looks like a hall sensor failure on the motor >:(
