Hey guys, Just curious if I were to use a couple 12volt motors would they work with the joystick controller?

You should know how too reprogram joystick for speed. And also the changing of the  batteries, speed stuck in slow. Because as far as I know, there is normally a separate programmer that you need to plug into the power wheelchair lifts (http://www.braunability.com).

Its not that easy.  Is this for a wheel chair or an ebike?  It must be for a wheel chair because steering your bike while holding your joystick isnt too practical.

If this is the case and its for a wheel chair,  maybe you should check with your Local Human Mobility Aid retailer to learn these details and whether or not it uis legal to be playing around with mobility aids in such a manner.
