VEC500 throttle problem
« on: March 03, 2015, 11:05:12 AM »
Hey

I'm working with electric kart.
Golden Motor 10kw motor and vec500 controller.
And would like to ask a question regarding throttle (throttle is also from golden motor)
I tested the throttle with 5v adapter and green wire from throttle was from 0,3v to 4,9v depending of throttle position.
But when throttle is connected to vec500 controller then motor spins with constant rpm when throttle is pushed. And it kicks in about 30% of throttle position and from 30% to 100% the rpm of motor does not change.
I have changed the throttle type from "Hall effect" to "potentiometer" and vice versa but it did not helped.

regards,

Ahto

Hi Ahto andto the forum.

We had another user with a very similar throttle problem but his was on the VEC300 controller, but I have not heard back from him yet.
Check out this thread for more information.
